Summary of goals and special mention of great play...
5/16/09 - Thunder 7, Lightning 5
The
players are getting better with each practice and the games are getting more exciting to watch. This game showcased
the efforts of the Thunder's Jacob Cervino who scored all 7 goals for his team. The Lightning's goals were
scored by Matt Morris (4) and Dallas Matthews (1).
5/9/09 - Thunder 8, Lightning 7
This
was a spirited game as both teams have been getting better! Jacob Cervino (an addition to the roster from the city)
was a scoring machine as he put in all of the goals for the Thunder's first win of the season. Matt Morris scored
six of his team's goals and would have had more, but he was shut down a few times by first time goaltender Chris Perez.
Dallas Mathews also scored his first career goal for the Lightning. Both teams face off again next week - come and watch
the fireworks!
4/25/09
- Lightning 4, Thunder 2
The two teams are starting to get their skates underneath them. Matt
Morris was able to dominate the puck and put four goals past the Thunder's goalie. However, Luke Howard (team Thunder)
was able to make some key stops defensively and helped to keep the score to only four. These two teams are
getting better at playing together and we had a great practice as they all continue to skate and handle their sticks.
Looking forward to the next game!
4/18/09 - Lightning 4, Thunder 2
The
two Elementary teams will be facing off against each other every week, as there are only the two teams in this division.
Forward Matt Morris had a stellar game as he was able to score four goals for his Lightning team. The Thunder were able
to score twice by Cris Perez.
