5/9/09 - Bulldogs 6, Batch'lers 3
This was a great game as the Jr. Bulldogs showed what they had learned from their last practice - position and passing.
The two coaches - Carl and Rich - are teaching the guys to "stay home" in their assignments and to pass the puck
effectively. There was great determination shown as the Bulldogs dug out loose pucks and played solid defense.
Captain Caleb Harter (#87) took control of the game by scoring all six of his team's tallies. The Bulldogs
had to kill off three penalties and during one of these, Caleb was able to score shorthanded! The Bulldog's net
was shutdown as Eric Boruff provided great goaltending! Jordan Gilreath and Josh Ferreras both pursued the puck at both
ends of the rink to cause "havoc"for the Batch'lers. Great game by all players! See you at practice
on Thursday....Coach Harter.
4/25/09 - Bulldogs lose two games
The
Jr. High Bulldogs had a double-header as they faced off against the Cougars and then the Batch'lers. The Bulldogs
expended a lot of energy working against the Cougars, but they were not able to score at all. In the second match up,
the game was back and forth but the opposing team was able to score in the last few minutes to break the tie and they went
on to beat the Bulldogs 5-4.
4/18/09 - Bulldogs 9, Batch'lers 4
The
season opener for the Jr. High division and the Bulldogs had a full bench of eager players. It was a close game with
each team scoring one or two at a time and with just 7 minutes remaining in the game, the Batch'lers were up 4-3.
The Bulldogs, led by Captain Caleb Harter did not want to go down without a fight, so they pushed the pace and Caleb was able
to come up with the tying and go ahead goals. Nate Anderson scored his third of the game and Shane Wendt also
added a couple of goals to seal the game. Caleb finished with 4 goals, Nate with 3, and Shane with
2.
All of the Bulldogs played a great game and will now get ready for next week's double header. Thanks
to all of the fans for coming out and supporting your Bulldogs!
